The Athletes Compound at Saddlebrook - Making Great Athletes Greater

The Athletes Compound at Saddlebrook Resort has garnered nation-wide acclaim for its personalized nutrition and general fitness training programs for professional athletes. Upon arrival to our training facility, every athlete is assessed to determine his or her particular competencies and target areas for improvement. Our staff then customizes a meal plan, which is prepared by Saddlebrook's award-winning culinary team led by Executive Chef Daniel Desmond. The Athletes Compound staff creates an individualized strength, speed, conditioning, agility, and flexibility program to address the target improvements for each athlete. Strenuous exercise and efforts take place every day on our FieldTurf and natural turf sports fields and in the Performance Center in our Sports Village.

Every January, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and other agents send about 30 of their top professional baseball players to train in The Athletes Compound, including superstars like Derek Jeter and Ryan Zimmerman. Other baseball greats, like All-Star pitcher Tyler Clippard and Jon Jay of the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, among many others make Saddlebrook their home from early January until leaving for spring training in mid-February.

The Athletes Compound also prepares college football players for the NFL draft during the winter months. Former trainees including Alshon Jeffery of the University of South Carolina, who was later drafted by the Chicago Bears, as well as NFL veterans like Dustin Keller, Will Allen, Davin Joseph, and Mike Neal. Our world-renowned sports training facility also serves athlete-clients in disciplines other than baseball and football, like the ATP's John Inser, and Jack Sock, and NHL great Brad Richards, all of which train at the Athletes Compound throughout the year.

Guests of the resort are encouraged to take advantage of our renowned sports training facilities and can make reservations for individual and group programs.
