About the School

The Community:

Saddlebrook Preparatory is an independent school situated on the grounds of Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, approximately 12 miles north of Tampa. The Wesley Chapel area is one of the most rapidly growing suburban centers located outside of Tampa Bay.

The School:

Saddlebrook Academy was founded in 1992 in conjunction with Pasco County School Board. In 1997, the school became private and was renamed Saddlebrook Preparatory (Prep). All students enrolled in Saddlebrook Prep are also concurrently enrolled in either the Saddlebrook Tennis Program or the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy. As an academic institution, Saddlebrook Prep is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Florida Council of Independent Schools. Saddlebrook Prep currently enrolls over 100 students, with a low student/teacher ratio of 10 to 1. This intimate learning community promotes communication and the individual nurturing of student potential.

The Students:

Saddlebrook's enrollment represents students from over 20 different countries. Approximately 50% of these students are enrolled in the Prep boarding program. This multicultural environment enhances life at Saddlebrook, both in the classroom and on campus.
