Mr. Rolf Deming
Class A PGA Member
Head Teaching Professional

Rolf joined the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy in 1993. Prior to his role as Head Instructor, Rolf spent four years as a member of the PGA Tour and two years as a member of the PGA Senior Tour. Rolf competed in three U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Rolf has 10 State titles and over 80 additional tournament victories. Rolf has dedicated much of the past two decades to teaching players of all levels including European LPGA player Paula Marti, and communicating the fundamentals to the game of golf. Rolf has written articles for various golf publications, including Golf Tips Magazine and developed our current program workbook for the Player Development Program.

Mr. Mark Hirschey
Certified Instructor/Junior Program Director
Class A PGA Member

Mark joined the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy in 1999, before coming to Saddlebrook Resort he was a Head Professional in the Georgia Section for nine years. He was elected to the Professional Golfers Association in 1988.

Originally from Minnesota, Mark attended Bemidji State University where he played on the golf team. He has competed successfully both as an amateur and as a professional. Mark has been teaching golf at all skill levels for over fifteen years through clinics and individual lessons. He is also the junior coordinator for the Saddlebrook Preparatory Program here at Saddlebrook Resort, working with young golfers and helping them to take their game to the next level. Mark is the Boy’s High School Team Coach.

Mr. Michael Tali
Certified Instructor

Born in Flint Michigan, Michael grew up in the suburban Detroit area where he graduated high school in 1974 and then attended Northwood University. Michael started his career as a golf professional in 1988. He has been employed at Saddlebrook Resort since 1990 and has been a certified Arnold Palmer Instructor since 1993. Michael began competitive golf in junior high, and then played four years on the varsity high school team. Michael was runner up at his playing ability test for the PGA. His teaching career began at the age of twenty when he became a professional ski instructor.

In addition to providing instruction at the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy, Michael has worked with many nationally ranked juniors and collegiate players throughout his career. He has over 1200 hours/year of instruction for the past 13 years. Michael is currently the Girl’s High School golf team coach.
